Richard Foster, RVS, RVT, RDMS
Director of Neurovascular Lab
Richard is a Registered Vascular Specialist and has worked in various areas
of ultrasound since 2000, including residencies at Spencer Vascular Diagnostic
Services, Harborview Medical Center Cerebrovascular Laboratory, Tacoma
General Hospital and Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. From 2002 to
2006, he ran an independent vascular laboratory at Valley Medical Center
in Renton, Wash., where he participated in multiple research studies from
cerebrovascular stenting, migraines and sickle-cell disease.
From October 2006 to March 2014, he and Dr. Aaron Heide directed the vascular
laboratory at Northwest Neurological and Neurovascular Services performing
multiple variations of vascular testing with an emphasis on the cerebrovascular
circulation. He participated in research and development programs with
multiple ultrasound manufactures to help fine tune the current generation
of cerebrovascular imaging technologies and provided outreach education
with training to rural hospitals in the northwest United States.
Richard moved from the Seattle area in April 2014 and is now the director
of the Saint Mary's Neurovascular Laboratory with Dr. Aaron Heide
to help bring cutting edge medicine to the northern Nevada area.
